I’ve had a task on my “to do” list for many weeks. The Job took less than 5 minutes and could have been done at any time, but I did it the morning I was leaving on a trip. I decided I wanted it done before I left and I finally took care of it. I read once long ago that for some people, their most productive days are before they go on vacation. The urgency of leaving gives them no time to put things off and they become incredibly more efficient than normal.
In reality, we have no idea when we will lose the chance to talk with those we love about Jesus. We should take every opportunity as if “vacation” starts today and it must be done before we leave.

Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
2 Timothy 4:2 NIV
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. “Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’ ”
