God Bless the Hunt

It started with my brother-in-law and the practice has carried over with my daughter.  As we head out to the stand we say "God bless the hunt". It's a short prayer that encompasses much… we're asking for safety, for success, for quality time either together or alone with God, decent weather, and on and on.  But mostly, we're acknowledging God is in control and we're dedicating the time to Him.  We know He knows our "wants".  We know He provides at least  our "needs" and often more.  

I've recently realized I can carry this practice to other areas as a quick reminder to dedicate whatever I'm doing to God and acknowledge He is in control…. God bless the meeting; God bless the project;  God bless the conversation; God bless the trip; God bless the relationship; God bless the fact that I think you have the idea now.  God bless this time in prayer.
