Recently I drove through a winter storm. Low visibility, freezing rain, wind, snow... It was a full menu on a long slow trip. In the worst of it, as others sped past and ended up in the ditch, we contently and slowly followed the tail lights of a truck and had several other cars behind us doing the same. Then
for a bit after the truck turned off we were the lead. We kept it slow like the truck had done and had folks following us. As you read the scripture below think about keeping focus on God through the storms in your life, and learning to help others do the same. Follow Jesus Lead Your Family “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” Matthew 14:29-31 NIV Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:1-3 NIV
